Hi, I’m Rayan. I live in New Orleans—the most enchanting, soulful city in the world. I’m deeply devoted to this place: its people, its culture, and its well-being.
I created Lovebeans as a creative, heartfelt way to engage with my city and its people, whether they’re locals or just passing through.
A Lovebean is a small charm made from bottle caps and beans or other items sealed in resin. It draws inspiration from the Mardi Gras tradition of handmade throws: unique gifts given to strangers during parades. But a Lovebean comes with a mission. When you find one, it comes with a promise—that you go out and do something good for the community.
That good deed can be anything: giving a few bucks to someone in need, volunteering your time, donating a book or other item to a little free library, helping a neighbor, or even just brightening someone’s day with a kind word. It can be big or small. The value of a deed isn’t in the dollars—it’s in the heart behind it, and in your desire to give and be a part of your community.
